Blakely Island Project

Seattle Pacific University has run biology and engineering field experiences on Blakely Island (San Juan County, WA) for the past thirty-five years. This is a relatively remote place accessible only by boat or plane. A different biology class goes north every weekend between early April and late May, and in spring of 2018 a Multimedia Journalism class followed along in small teams. The linked site is the culmination of those hours of collecting stories.
